1992 four independent journalists and filmmakers joined forces to produce
the first documentary on the river Mekong from the source to the mouth.
This is how Along Mekong Productions came into being. As the project
was successful the four decided to stay together. |

BERND GIRRBACH: Born 1955, studied political sciences and economics at Heidelberg university. Journalist. News editor 1981-82, then correspondent for US-agencies in West Africa, assigned as ARD radio correspondent to numerous locations in Africa. Ran his own news feature company until 1992. |

ROLF LAMBERT: Born 1964, studied political sciences and German literature at Heidelberg university and JNU New Delhi, M.A.. Journalist. Author and camera operator since 1986, frequent traveller, works mainly abroad, specialised on Asia with a special affection to India. |

MANFRED LINKE:Born 1952, studied political sciences, history and sociology at Heidelberg and Konstanz universities, M.A. Journalist. Has worked as film director since 1978. Founded feature-filmstudio in 1983 together with E. Werry. Special interest in historical subjects and archaeology. Manfred has also a good hand for AMP electronics and keeps the editing suite running. |

ELKE WERRY: Born 1957, studied history, German literature and art history at Heidelberg university, M.A., PhD. Trained as a camera operator 1981-83. Founded feature-filmstudio in 1983 together with M. Linke. Since then she likes doing the camera work but also being in charge of production and authorship for film and TV. |

MATHEWS ANTHONY AMBROSE:Born 1972, grew up and finished school in Malaysia. Worked as a DJ in Kuala Lumpur, and since 1996 in film production, editing everything from sit-com to corporate videos and news. As a freelancer he lives now in Germany, adding some Asian spices to AMP editing. |
